This person ensures that the “Freshly Milled” experience translates perfectly onto a screen, whether through a seamless checkout or a compelling video of grain being crushed.
The Mission
At TrueSubstance, we are reclaiming integrity in food. Your mission is to reclaim integrity in the digital space. You will own the entire “Digital Ecosystem”—from the backend stability of our website to the front-end storytelling that brings our “Slomilled” philosophy to life. You are responsible for ensuring that our online presence is as fresh, transparent, and high-quality as our flour.
Key Responsibilities
1. Website & E-commerce Stewardship (The Backend)
- Platform Management: Own the daily operations of our website (Shopify/WooCommerce/Custom). Ensure the “Milled-to-Order” logic works perfectly for every customer.
- UX/UI Optimization: Constantly refine the user journey. If a customer can’t find their favorite heirloom wheat in three clicks, it’s your job to fix it.
- SEO & Performance: Maintain lightning-fast site speeds and ensure TrueSubstance is the top result when people search for “Nutritional Integrity” or “Fresh Flour.”
2. Content Creation & Storytelling (The Soul)
- The “Substance” Aesthetic: Create and curate high-quality digital content—videos, photography, and copy—that captures the beauty of our milling process and the transparency of our sourcing.
- Social Media Ecosystem: Manage our presence across platforms. We don’t do “filler” content; every post must add value or educate our community.
- Email & Community: Design and write newsletters that people actually want to read, turning one-time buyers into “Substance Subscribers.”
3. Digital Marketing & Growth (The Engine)
- Performance Marketing: Lead our Meta and Google Ad strategies. You are responsible for a healthy ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) and a low CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost).
- Analytics & Reporting: Don’t just look at likes; look at conversions. Use data to tell us what’s working, what’s failing, and where the next growth opportunity lies.
- Omnichannel Integration: Ensure digital promotions align perfectly with what’s happening on the retail store floor.
