The Mission
At TrueSubstance, we believe that “freshly milled” is only the beginning. As our Food Technology Specialist, your mission is to scientifically validate our cold-pressing process. You will bridge the gap between artisanal craft and nutritional science, ensuring that every bag of flour maximizes nutrient bioavailability, shelf-life (without additives), and baking performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process & Nutritional Validation
- Cold-Press Optimization: Study the thermal impact of our milling process on various grains. Calibrate equipment to ensure grain temperatures never exceed the “nutrient-loss” threshold.
- Nutritional Analysis: Lead the testing for vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats across our range. Create the “Nutritional Fact Sheets” that form the backbone of our brand transparency.
- Shelf-Life Management: Develop natural, physical protocols (like moisture control and specialized packaging) to extend the shelf-life of fresh flour without the use of chemical preservatives.
2. Product Innovation & Formulation
- Functional Blends: Work with the Range Specialist to develop “Smart Flours” (e.g., Diabetic-friendly, high-protein, or gut-health optimized) using scientific ratios of ancient grains.
- Baking & Culinary Trials: Conduct “Kitchen Lab” tests. How does our Khapli wheat perform in a sourdough? How does our Bajra hold up in a traditional roti? You define the “ideal grind” for the best culinary result.
3. Quality & Food Safety (The Guardian)
- FSSAI & Compliance: Ensure our stores and milling units exceed all food safety regulations.
- Standardization: Create the Technical SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for the Millers to ensure that the flour milled in Store A is identical in quality to Store B.
- Contamination Control: Implement rigorous testing for pesticides, heavy metals, and mycotoxins in our raw grain supply.
